Dalia Mubarak Announces Her Retirement from the Music Industry

Saudi singer Dalia Mubarak has announced her decision to officially retire from the music industry, bringing an unexpected close to a career that has spanned more than a decade and established her as one of the prominent voices of the new generation of Saudi and Gulf music. أعلنت الفنانة السعودية داليا مبارك اعتزالها الفن رسميًا، في قرار مفاجئ شاركته مع جمهورها عبر حسابها على إنستجرام، لتضع بذلك نهاية لمسيرة فنية امتدت لأكثر من عقد، قدمت خلالها مجموعة من الأعمال التي رسخت حضورها كواحدة من أبرز الأصوات النسائية في المشهد الموسيقي السعودي والخليجي.

Dalia Mubarak’s passion for music began at an early age. Encouraged by her father, she participated in school performances and family events, and at just 14, she took part in the musical operetta Sanad Al Khair. She was later shortlisted to participate in the first season of Arabs Got Talent, although the death of her father prevented her from traveling to Beirut for the show. She subsequently pursued formal musical training at a specialized institute in Dubai. Although she began her artistic journey earlier, Dalia gained wider recognition in 2014 with the release of her debut single, Galabt Al Tawla. Following her debut, Dalia released a series of successful singles, including Fi Nazrat Oyounak, Ma’a Khalis Al Ashwaq, Areen Al Eshq, Taj Al Fakhr, Qadar Qadar, Dam’at Ghala and Fariq An Al Nas. In 2016, she released her debut album, Min Al Akher, with Rotana. The 16-track album helped strengthen her position within the Gulf music scene and marked an important milestone in her career. Throughout the following years, Dalia continued to develop her musical identity, blending contemporary sounds with Khaleeji influences. Her growing profile also led her to perform alongside major Arab artists and at prominent concerts and music festivals across Saudi Arabia and the region. In November 2023, Dalia released her album 11:11, a project she described as a reflection of her journey, her return to herself and the person she had become. The album explored different musical styles and Arabic dialects, including Gulf, Egyptian and Iraqi songs, showcasing another side of her artistic versatility. The project included collaborations such as Marra An Million with Daffy, as well as Hala Nafseya, Tishtaq Rouhi and Galbi Sadeq. In 2026, Dalia took on a new role as a coach on the latest season of The Voice Kids, joining Rami Sabry and Al Shami. The experience became one of the final chapters of her career as a performer and allowed her to mentor a new generation of young singers. Her team achieved a major milestone during the season when Lama Qais, a member of Dalia’s team, won the title after receiving the highest percentage of the audience vote. لم تقتصر خطوات داليا مبارك في السنوات الأخيرة على الغناء، إذ خاضت تجربة جديدة كمدربة ضمن الموسم الأخير من برنامج «The Voice Kids»، إلى جانب رامي صبري والشامي. وشكلت التجربة فصلًا مختلفًا في مسيرتها، حيث انتقلت من الوقوف على المسرح كمغنية إلى دعم المواهب الشابة وتقديم خبرتها لجيل جديد من الفنانين. كما حققت إحدى مواهب فريقها، لاما قيس، نجاحًا لافتًا بعد فوزها بلقب الموسم، في واحدة من أبرز محطات داليا خلال تجربتها في البرنامج.

On August 26, 2026, Dalia surprised her fans by announcing through her Instagram Stories that she would officially retire from the arts. She said her final artistic project would be a work with her children and The Voice Kids talents Karma and Lama Qais, after which she would step away from the industry. In another emotional message, she reflected on the personal cost of her career, saying that the industry had taken a great deal from her “spirit, health and humanity,” and apologized to those who believed in her, explaining that she could no longer give more than she was capable of.
